The Internet Voice Campaign is a recently announced cooperative alliance between some of the biggest players in the
VoIP services industry—folks like Earthlink, Sonus, NetZero, and yes, Google. At its heart is a lobbying group called
the Von Coalition, formed by companies like Intel and Cisco. The purpose of the industry group is to increase adoption
of VoIP and spur awareness of the technology through marketing, education, and political wrangling.
Interestingly, here are a few companies not participating: SBC, Verizon, Alltel, and Comcast. All traditional public
infrastructure networking companies.
