Benjamin Kowarsch of Sunrise Telephone Systems has been working with Asterisk on Mac OS X for the last year or so.
He's credited with building the first Apple-friendly installer distribution of Asterisk for Mac OS X, and now, rumor
has it, he's coordinating the creation of Zaptel-compliant (read: compatible with Asterisk) OS X device drivers for
telephony interfaces, starting with the built-in modems on many Macs.
This can only be a good thing. The notorious stability and security of Mac OS X (and its widely-available commercial
